I just wanted to thank you for the SPLTOOL utility. I work
at the Ashley Companies during my breaks from school, and last summer was
assigned to set up a document archival system using OnBase software based
on an NT server.
We wanted to archive approximately 4-5000 pages per day of AS/400 created
reports, invoices, etc... using OnBase rather than expensive fiche. The
largest difficulty was implementing an easy way to transfer spool files
created on the AS/400 to the OnBase server while retaining correct spacing.
SPLTOOL solved that problem with resounding ease, and allowed me to complete

getting SPLTOOL up and running. By using your tool and an article you wrote
in March 2000's Midrange Computing, I was able to create an application
that monitors an output queue and distributes spoolfiles in PDF & HTML format
onto my NT server. With your PDF engine at its core, this program will save
us many dollars in paper and printer costs, as well as providing a secure

I just downloaded SPLTOOL, MAILTOOL, and OUTQTRG and love
it! I've been looking at several other tools available and they don't even
compare. These are straight forward, simple to install, easy to configure,
easy to use, and a very small footprint. It looks like I will be able to
implement these tools into our daily processing with ease. So far the testing
has been very positive as I'm sure that it will continue to roll on with
